Each bar is approximately 2.7 oz and should last at least 50 washes or longer if you have short hair. A little goes a long way.
***Our shampoo bar is not a traditional soap bar (soaps have a high pH) so it doesn’t leave a film on your hair as many do, and no vinegar rinse is needed.
***It’s very important that you store the bars in an area that allows them to completely dry out between uses. It’s best to use a well draining soap dish like the ones we offer in our shop.
If you intend to use this shampoo bar while traveling, I recommend selecting the travel tin addition in the drop down menu. It’s important to note that you should not store your bar in these if it’s wet since it can turn mushy and not last as long. I recommend taking a few rubber bands with you to put around the tin to make a makeshift soap dish. See the last photo in the slide to see what I mean.
Packaging and shipping are completely plastic free!

ABOUT OUR BARS
What do you mean by “pH balanced?”
When it comes to hair care, “pH balanced” means that a product should test between a pH of 4.5 and 5.5. Hair has a pH of around 5. Using a product that has a pH far out of this range can damage hair over time. A hair product that has too high of a pH will raise the cuticles on your hair strands and leave hair looking dull and much more likely to tangle. Our bars test close to a pH of 5.
Why sulfate free?
Sulfates are commonly added to shampoos because they are effective at cleaning.. sometimes a little too effective. Over time, sulfates can corrode and damage hair follicles, dry out the hair and scalp, or lead to skin irritations and hair loss. We use only the most gentle sulfate free surfactants made from coconut oil and glucose that are still able to effectively clean your hair without stripping it dry and all while giving you an amazing lather.
Why a bar?
When you buy a bottle of shampoo, what you’re mostly getting is water. Bar shampoo is made without water so it’s super condensed. They last much longer and no need for the plastic. Did you know only about 10% of plastic in use ever gets recycled? Every bar is equal to at least one or several bottles of shampoo that you’re saving from a landfill. Plus they’re TSA compliant!
ABOUT OUR INGREDIENTS
Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate: AKA baby foam. This is a sulfate free surfactant made from coconut oil that gently cleanses hair without stripping it dry.
RSPO Certified Cetyl Alcohol: Not the “bad” type of alcohol! Cetyl alcohol helps to soften hair and gives the bars their thickness. We source ours from sustainably sourced palm oil.
Coco Glucoside: Another gentle sulfate free surfactant made from coconut oil and glucose. Coco Glucoside gives our bars an amazingly poofy lather.
Certified Organic Babassu Seed Oil: Babassu oil is very similar to coconut oil but is much lighter weight so it won’t weigh your hair down like coconut oil can be prone to.
Certified Organic and Palm Free Glycerin: Glycerin helps to moisturize hair and combat frizz. This glycerin comes from soy.
Certified Organic Guar Gum: Guar gum helps to give the bar excellent slip so you can spread it around your hair with ease.
Preservative Eco (Benzyl Alcohol, Salicylic Acid, Palm Free Glycerin, and Sorbic Acid): Though our bars are made without water, they come into contact with it so they need a preservative. We use this paraben free preservative that meets ecocert and COSMOS standards. Though a preservative is present, it’s still important to store the bars in a way that allows them to completely dry out between uses.
Certified Organic Essential Oils (Lavender, Peppermint, Rosemary, and Lemon): All the best essential oils for your scalp that smell like a springtime meadow!
Certified Organic Nettle Leaf Powder: There’s a reason nettle is widely touted for hair! Nettles are packed with all kinds of nutrients and minerals such as Vitamin B and magnesium.
Non-GMO Citric Acid: Citric acid is used to balance the pH of the bars. Ours comes from non-GMO sugarcane.

First time using a shampoo bar and it was way better than expected! Hair feels healthy!
BSquared6 –
10/10, would recommend! I have thick, wavy/curly hair, and it does a great job of cleaning, but not stripping, my hair. The smell is A+++, I love it so much. (It does not provide much slip, just fyi if you care about that.)
Valerie –
Makes my hair feel silky, even without a vinegar rinse.
I love the soap and it smells yummy. But please change to a darker print on your label. The pale yellow is illegible.

Used this for the first time last night. And I really love how clean my hair feels! I’ve been not using regular “shampoo” for almost 2 years now. Normally I just used dr bronner bar soap. But I’ve been trying to find a really good shampoo bar. Can’t wait to continue using this and see how my hair responds.
Editing my review to add: I’ve used this wash maybe 3 or 4 times now. I usually wash about once a week. And i absolutely love how soft and clean my hair is. I don’t need conditioner at all. So far this is my favorite shampoo bar!
Sarah Taubman –
This shampoo bar is truly the best soap I have used on my hair. I have very thick coarse hair and this makes it feel so buttery and soft, and healthy too. The fragrance is light and comforting. I can tell this bar will last a long time for me as well. Thank you for this offering.
Emma Morton –
The shampoo bar is amazing. I have thick, curly/wavy hair and it can a struggle to find products that don't strip all the oil out of my haur. I don't have to use anywhere near as much conditioner when using this shampoo. It also smells amazing!

My family loves this stuff. Works and smells great. I will be ordering more. Travel tin is a thoughtful addition.

This was my first crack at bar shampoo and I couldn’t be more pleased! I have medium-length, very fine color-treated hair; Lucky Locks cleanses well and doesn’t leave any residue — hair feels very nice. Was also surprised at the decent amount of lather despite having very hard water.

I haven’t used it long, but so far I’m satisfied with the results.
